Morning all,, sorry no pictures yesterday. I don't know where the day goes most of the time. I didn't get back from the city until after 6. Our show finally come back on last night , 24 , we had to wait 4 weeks from the last one. Brian and I where going over business card ideas and pricing.. That is the hardest thing to do in any business. I am off to the library today to get the book the Eight Point Program by Eknath Easwarna. This book has eight practices that are, using a daily mantra often during the day, slowing down, allowing enough time for meals and generally simplifying life, training our attention and refraining from multitasking , training the senses choosing carefully what we eat, read,watch and listen too, developing an innate concern for others welfare. I have been trying to simplify my life for awhile now so this looks like it has a lot of ideas. I have to also get to the healthfood store and mail off some bead packages. My hair cut was changed to today at noon so that is something else for today. I am leaving to go on a short vacation with my friend Shira. I have known her for over 25 years but she lives in California, we have been trying to get together more often now that we have the time.

Here are the beads that I have been promising you ,,, and there will be more later today. I peeped in the kiln and I love love love them. What do you think of the lady bug beads,, I like them :D Need to pack up beady packages and then I am off to goodwill to find some jeans that fit me. I am losing YEAH!!!!!
Cool thing today is fruit beads,, these look soooo real.

I was all set to clean beads and sit down at the torch. I even have it ramping up, But it was such a beautiful day. The temp was 71 today we decided to go to the zoo. Since we are members it is free. Sorry if you where looking for beads I promise they will be up tomorrow.

Made beads and cleaned bathrooms today , Yeah on the beads but you can have the rest. I think I made some pretty cool beads today , we never know untill the kiln has cooled so check back tomorrow to see. Right now I am going to head over to a neighbors house who is haveing a bon fire and have a corona. See ya :D

Just got in from taking my mom to the quilt show here in Chicago. There where some really beautiful quilts, I even saw one for 10,000.00 dollars. We walk about 10 miles it seems today so I am heading up to put on my PJ's and watch a movie.
No beads today ,, going to hit the torch first thing tomorrow. We decided not to go to Milwaukee and see the Log cabin house show. Beads should be up on Sunday morning.

We have been running around all morning, so I haven't gotten to the torch yet. I have some ideas for beads today that I hope are as cool out of the kiln as in my head. My head is still cloudy with cold medicine so it should be interesting. This is a new set ,, very colorful.

Late update today,, Brian and I worked around the house today. It was really nice out , about 50 something degree's. I am so ready for spring it is killing me. Picked up some supplies today at Hoy's and got some beads ready for the bay.. These beads almost didn't make it to e-bay because I love them sooooo much.

Here it is Monday morning, Brian has been fired for the last time from his father's trucking company. I know that this is going to sound sick but I am kinda happy. His dad really was hard to work for and was always saying how he was going BK and Bri was always getting fired when his dad was having a bad day.
He has two weeks vacation coming and he will apply for unemployment so we should be ok if Ebay keep up. I have been looking on realtor.com for houses since we didn't find too much in Utica. What do you think of this one? It is out of our price range but don't you think the domed cabin would be a great artist studio :D
Cool thing for today is Log homes,, lots of great info on this site. Don't forget to check out my ebay auctions.

We made it back from Utica last night, looked at a couple of houses.
Didn't find anything that was perfect, either the property was right and
the house wrong or the other way around. We really have our heart
set on a log house. Next weekend we are going to head up to
Milwaukee to the log home show. Hopefully they will beable to let us
know what kind of $$$ we are talking about for building new.
I am feeling a little sick today so I am just putsying around the studio today.
Here are a coupld of sets I just put up on the Bay.
Look for my on going list of good things to start again tomorrow.

I have really not been doing these update like I want to and I am sorry
They should be up to par next week, I have been pretty busy with life and
product. Brian and I are heading to Utica tomorrow to look at property,
it should be a fun trip. Here is the stuff I promised yesterday. It is also
going on the Bay. The cheese tray is a new product for the fair, I am going
to present it to a couple of upscale wine stores in the area and see what they think

It's Erin's birthday today,, she is 23. We are suppose to get together for our birthdays but I am not sure when. We are going to Utica to pick up Brian's chaps and to look at some property down there. I really want a log cabin house and I haven't seen many that have any acreage. Should be a nice drive anyway. I will have some beads up later today and I am about to sit down at the torch in a minute. Oh and before I forget I got my nose pierced on Tuesday,, looks cool. I am really happy with it. It's my birthday,, 41 years old today !!!!!! I have big excitement planed for today, clean beads , clean the house and hopefully make some beads also. I was wondering if anyone out there knows anything about this herb for cat. COUCHGRASS (Quackgrass) (Agropyron repens)
Couchgrass serves as an excellent tonic and disinfectant for the urinary tract. It is a soothing, anti-inflammatory demulcent and saponin-based diuretic with mild antimicrobial activity, and is considered a specific remedy for chronic or acute cases of cystitis and urethritis, where the root tea or tincture will help reduce inflammation, inhibit bacterial reproduction, and lessen pain during urination.
I think Wolly Bull has anothe urinary problem, and I don't want to spend 1000.00 this time around. Let me know if you have heard anything about this herb?

I have been up for a while now,, taking and editing pictures.
These are some of the cool beads I made yesterday.
I made a handle for the letter opener also
but the mandrel was just a tiny bit too small for the handle and the bead crack as I was cleaning it so I need to work on the project.
I love these fish ,, they are soooooo fun to make.
Loving the lentil maker also. I might have to buy one if I get some extra money some day.
Brian and I are off to the zoo today , at least that was the plan last night. He is still sleeping , and if we are going we need to start getting ready.
It would be fine with me if we didn't go as I have so many things I want to do.. I really am fine just making beads and stainedglass all day long,
I really love my life.

Good morning,, I am getting ready to head to the torch early this morning. Had a great class with Mari yesterday and want to try some of the things I learned. A very big thank you to my friend Vikki who was wonderful and sent me her CBS to play with for a while. This is the coolest thing, I just can't afford one right now. Jen G,, Glassgirl, said in the WC s&t yesterday that she liked my beads lately.. OK maybe I am making more out of this than was meant by it, but I think Jen is a wonderful bead maker and really want to be like her when I grow up :D so the complement was very cool.. She also said that I need to brighten up my pictures, I never wanted to make them too bright encase I misrepresented the color in my auction. I am going to take her advise and brighten them up and see if that helps on E-bay. I am taking an advanced bead making class with Mari Johnson tomorrow and I am pumped. This is my birthday present from my dad and this is a great present. I made myself a bracelet out of the PMC beads that I made in class and some furnace glass beads that Robert the glass blower made for me over the summer at the faire. Yes I know that it has been 7 months since the fair ended, but it got made :D. Almost done with the third book in the Key trilogy ,this one is very good. Working on stained glass today, have to mail some beads out and need to clean house some more.

I received two packages of stuff I ordered yesterday, the wine stopper/screw combo,letter openers and the bangle bracelets.
Now I have to start making things to go with them. I am ordering some nice cheese knives today for the wine and cheese packages. Made some nice beads yesterday and I will be posting them on the web page this afternoon.
I am soldering some stained glass projects that has been waiting their turn :D
